My happy place. This section of the garden is two months old in this picture...in late August! Due to an abundance of rain, and the garden designed specifically for rain cachement, the plants are thriving and producing with minimal water input from us. I hope to get to 100% water independance, but this may take some time!!
Chickens are great for the system...eggs, fertilizer, pest control, "chicken T.V", need I say more?
A life of Beauty is a life well-lived.
I'm not sure if that belongs to someone or not, but it's how I feel.
Sustainability is easy if we try.
My garden has changed and evolved with each passing year, and I change and grow with it.
I've had to let go of the pattern of perfection. Am I doing it right? Is this true sustainability? And just start doing it. Over time, a system is created and is adapted as nature ebbs and flows.
For example, the lovely prickly pear flower above, is gone. These plants, as well as most of my fruit trees, all froze this past February.
While, I admit, I am a bit sad, and anxiously awaiting the regrowth of most of my trees, Nature is fierce.
And living in harmony with Nature is the most exciting life worth living.
Join me on this journey as we add videos, podcasts, and more to show that it is possible, and necessary.
